Meet your instructor

In 2012 as I was comparing curious modules of the South African seminaries and school I realised that there is a scarcity of concrete Theology and Christian philosophy. Most of the Bible colleges are simply devotional (which is not bad), they only produce confessionalists and not Christian scholars. In 2019 I conceived a vision of an academy that will introduce layman to Theology and Christian philosophy in its purest form. We started in Durban, Smith Street at Sagro house, 5th floor. In 2020 we were halted by the COVID19 lock-down. It is during this time where we moved with the wave of the 4th industrial revolution. We then decided to digitise our school to reach far and wide.

Truth theology Academy is a space were individuals are brought into the broad matrix of theology and Christian philosophy. Think of this like a fish in small pond. All it’s basic aquatics thinks it’s pond is all in all of life until you release to the sea. It’s then where it comes to realise that the aquatic life it’s far and wide. Many in their Christian walk within their denominations think what their surrounding is all there is that defines Christianity. TTA is passage conduit to the ocean of broad and wide cosmos of Christianity. This is for the purpose of establishing ones faith on the solid ground of tested truth as opposed to sensational Christianity.

What people are saying

  • “My name is Mahle Madikane, and I’m from Boston, KZN. This is my second year at The Truth Theology Academy (TTA), and I’m thrilled to be here. I initially registered because I had questions about the Bible that I needed answers to. I had previously attended a Bible college in Durban, but I deregistered after just one semester because I wasn’t getting the clarity I sought. I’m now looking forward to completing my studies at TTA, and I’m currently in my second year.
One of the highlights of my time at TTA has been gaining a deeper understanding of the Old Testament (OT) and how it lays the foundation for the New Testament (NT). The teachings and engaging discussions with fellow students have broadened my perspective and introduced me to new ideas. The curriculum covers a range of topics, including church history, soteriology, and hermeneutics, all of which have equipped me with the skills to read, interpret, and apply the Word effectively.”

  • When I started my study with TTA, I realized that a strong faith in Christ is built on these foundational pillars that include receiving the Gospel, believing the Gospel, and contending for its truth (Jude 1:3). From my perspective, “contending” meant learning how to properly interpret the Bible through the robust principles of hermeneutics that I have learnt from the Academy (TTA). Through this discipline, I’ve been equipped to defend the heart of the faith against all forms of indoctrination. I’m therefore no longer just repeating what I’ve heard; since this journey of learning has moved my belief from a simple acceptance to an informed conviction, thus preparing me to stand firm in the faith and during the face of adversity
